Last night I ordered an XPS M140 through Dell EPP with 16% off and after Iordered, no e-mail confirmation or Order Status in my account as of 17 hours later. I chatted with Dell Order Support and with my name and phone number couldnt find anything. I have no #s whatsoever recieved by Dell or really any record. Is this normal for some?

I wouldn't be too worried. Try calling Dell Customer Care and they should be able to tell you.

I say don't be too worried because the same thing happened to me. I ordered a desktop on Monday night and didn't get any confirmation, acknowledgement, nothing. Didn't show up on their site either. So I call Dell Tuesday night and asked the sales person about it. She said that she didn't see any record of it, and that I should just reorder. So I reordered the same system on Tuesday night, as the coupons were going to expire soon. This afternoon, I still hadn't received any order confirmation emails or asknowledgement. So I called Customer Care and asked them about it. Gave them all of my information, and then they found both of the orders. Apparently either it took 48 hours for the orders to show up, or the sales person had no clue. But either way, the orders should be on their way.

Now I need to cancel one of them though, and the cancellation dept is closed.

Sweet, sounds VERY comforting . I was worried for a minute, because my luck with Dell has been runnig out. My 40% through EPP went bad during the time I had to reinstall Norton, when I cameback the 40% was gone, so the 16% deemed useless and I was tuck with 40% only at Home. And then I thought the M140 didn't go through. So if I more or less follow your schedule I'll contact them again tomorrow, since the coupon expires on Friday. Thanks man! Any idea when your baby is supposed to ship out?

In my experience, Dell Customer Care has never been able to pull up an EPP order until after you get a confirmation e-mail anyway. They usually can't search for EPP orders until they've been assigned a CN/ON because they don't have a "Organization Name" field in their search tool as they deal only with Dell Home orders. One time I was told Dell Small Biz would find it before Dell Home support would. Either way, don't worry... Dell doesn't turn away money unless it was a severe pricing muck-up.

I hope a 16% off Dimension desktops that worked on my XPS M140 doesn't fall under "sever pricing muck-up" . It was only $100-$180 off anyways. No biggy. And I hope a made up buisness name when it asked for what company I worked for didn't affect anything....they don't actually see if ti's valid...do they. Or they don't add that to any programs or anything like:

No problem man, glad it worked out for ya.

I got my confirmation last night after calling them. Now I'm going to need to cancel one of the orders. I also got the E510. All base specs except for a 2007FPW added, total $625 shipped. At that price it's almost worth keeping the second one; a dual core desktop with 20" WS for $600 can't be beat, but I don't need two desktops. Almost wonder if I could make a profit though.

Sell the 2007FPW on Ebay for around $450 and keep the parts and make a SFF(small form factor) PC for your Television. You got yourself a working PC with all the parts for $175. The Processor is going to be worth $200 anyway(Newegg.com) plus you got the memory, Dvd burner, and Hard drive. Maybe you can even stripped the parts and sell it on Ebay for alot more than $175.
