How to...overclock?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, this question will probly make some of you fall off of your chairs from laughing, but I've gotta ask anyway.
I have a Dell Inspiron 8500, specs in my sig. After hearing all this "overclocking" talk, I'm sorta interested in overclocking my CPU as well. Can someone please tell me how to do it (ie. where to dl the utilities), or direct me to a guide, because I'm sure someone out there has already written one on overclocking. Please help! Thanks!

overclockers.com what it comes down to is if your PLL chip will let you change front side bus there are a few programs that will help you

normaly you go into bios settings to raise FSB and core votage CV but dell and most all other name brands lock the bios and or the pll so your stuck. since you really cant cool the cpu very well a mild overclock at best can be had.
