I don't know what is there at the top left corner of a E1505. Looks like a heat sink for the GPU or the CPU. whatever the case be, it looks strange.. Look at the pics.. I'll try taking a better one during the day. In the meanwhile, please work with these pics and help me figure out if it is a defect... Looks like watever it is, it doesnt go all the way and also one of the metal chip(i donno wat is it called) is bent.. Feedback from other E1505 will be really helpful..

My i6000 is like that. I think it's just slightly crooked in the case, that's why it's showing...

kind of hard to see...
but as long as the CPU temp is staple, there shouldn't be a problem, i guess...

i took a few pics of my E1505: 800 x 600

full size photos can be found here: 3072 x 2048, 8mb

Mine is off center as well.
Possibly due to the x1400?

Thanks guys, for the feedback..
It could be due to the x1400 like ZT says...
I'm wondering if hatoma_isld's has a x1400 in his E1505. I havent used mine for long durations, as I hav been really busy with college work. I'll try testing it this weekend for heating problems.. lets see.. m jus gald its not me alone... makes me feel normal..

Something definitely looks off, like the heatsink isn't in the right position. If you're comfortable taking it apart I'd check it out, otherwise call Dell and tell them there is something wrong with it. But one way or snother, something needs to be moved/adjusted.
