Which screen do I actually have ??

Hello all,

I've been reading the various forums and have noticed people talking about the different types of screens that come with Dell laptops. I just received a Latitude D505 from Dell and was curious how to check and see which type/manufacturer of screen I actually have.

Thanks in advance...

Which screen do I want to have and which one should I be concerned if I do have???


By the way:
It should be a 15.0 inch XGA, but I have no idea of the manufacturer.

Your invoice should list the LCD manufacturer...also, you can find that info on your Dell homepage. There's a link that'll display your notebook's original configuration.

I don't know about the quality of various 15" LCD brands, but the big issue for Dell's widescreen 15.4" models is over Hitachi. Samsung and Sharp make much better widescreen LCDs.
