Could this be true?

After reading many of the phase game stories posted on these boards I was ready (although still very impatient lol) to have to wait a while to get mine. I ordered 4/11/06 which was 2 days ago and I just checked this morning and its already on Phase 9 ... and unless Alienware takes longer to package it for shipping than building it, it should ship soon if not today ... could this be true or is Alienware toying with me? lol ... I almost don't want to beleive it ... if it is true I am kind of nervous ... could they have possibly completed all the phases to insure the system works fine? ... Oh well I guess I will find out sometime soon. this is how it went ...

4/11/06 - at the end of the day it was on Phase 3

4/12/06 - at the beggining and end of the day it was on Phase 5

Today 4/13/06 7:00 am - Phase 9

Has anyone else spent so little time on the phase game?

Don't laugh. I went from Phase 5 to Phase 10 overnight and my laptop was a dud. I always wondered if I was shipped somone's returned machine. After all the burn in and "200 point" QC check must take longer than 24 hours...

Shadow, make sure you test that kit hard and solid for a couple of days at least. If it's dodgy make sure you ask for a replacement within 30 days since from some posts I've read AW understandably drags its feet on replacing machines after that period...

I'm sure it's just a case of them having a cancellation or some ready-made kit in reserve to speed up orders but it never hurts to double check. Keep us posted.

to be honest my M7700 came very quick and it fried a mobo in 6 days but I think it's just coincidense.

Thanks for the feedback you guys ... I really appreciate it ... i'll make sure to test it hard and hopefully it'll pass with flying colors and there won't be problems ... hopefully!

good luck shadow ... perhaps you simply had fate in your corner and the timing worked out with a machine that might have simply been cancelled by a potential aw owner ...... but gotta admit ... that is FAST ....

Be happy for now - save the nervous part in case there are any problems. Others have been receiving their systems quickly - and with few problems reported - so I'm sure you'll be fine!

I hit phase 5 a week ago and just hit phase 8 this morning, so I guess it's a luck of the draw thing. It's gr8 2 b u !!

I just got the Pre-Delivery e-mail from FedEx and it's scheduled to be delivered on the 20th which is next thursday I beleive ... you guys are right though ... instead of being nervous I should be happy ... and I am lol I can't wait ... thanks alot for getting me out of all the nervousness

I hope you wake up tomorrow morning to atleast a phase 9 Jclyde and that delivery will soon follow after that ... hopefully we both end up getting our systems around the same time!

keeping my fingers crossed too...just wanna hit phase 9 without dropping back to phase 5...hoping to maybe have system by next weekend..but i've only been in the phase game for two weeks so things are fairly smooth so far.
Just not as INSTANTANEOUS as I would like...
