Well I've had my Dell Dimension 8300 for quite sometime. Served quite a computer and never gave up on me. Reliable through and through. Loved it to death,, but I needed a gaming computer. I had $1000 lying around and put money to use. I built myself quite a monster of a rig. Using a lot of parts from my Dell 8300 (optical drives, monitor, memory, a hard drive, etc) In the end I lost all my harddrive files due to failure to backup
. that almost happened again thanks to Norton GoBack, but screw that its Kaspersky from now on. Anyways, here are my specs:

- Dell 19" Flat Panel
- Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe Gaming Motherboard
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 4200+ (2.2 gHz)
- BFG nVidia 256MB 7800 GTX Graphics Card
- 2GB Kingston DDR RAM (4 x 512MB)
- 300GB + 120GB 7200RPM Seagate Baracuda Hard Drive
- 300GB External Maxtor Harddrive
- Ultra xFinity 600 Watt ATX Power Supply w/ (2) 80mm Cooling Fans
- (2) 80mm Blue LED Fans
- (1) 120mm Blue LED Fan
The rest are basic parts from the Dell 8300. Here's what I turned that baby into:

With that, I purchased a XPS M140, as I clearly didn't need another gaming rig and crater in my wallet.
