I have to agree. When I first saw it I was like WTF .. because I thought he was doing exactly what that picture was intended for, but he wasn't. Im all for freedom of speech and all that honkey dory, but that is a bit inappropriate for the forums.

ROFL, I have never heard anyone but you say that, I've heard people say "I'd never buy a new PC that wasn't 64 Bit" but not Dual Core???. What does Dual Core have that makes it a Must have??? I mean yeah you can multi Task, but with 2 gigs of ram, and a single Intel 780. The Everyday Person should be just fine. Unless you're trying to Play A Game, while burning a DVD or something, do you really need this. A True Gamer, would probalby just focus upon his/her one game and that's it.

And by no means should any of you Assume that Vista was Specfically Designed for dual core, I mean I think you're going to see more out of Vista if you have a 64 bit Processor over Dual Core. And watch by the time Vista comes out you peeps are going to be like, omg omg omg gotta get Dual Core And 64 bit Processors. It's just never going to end.....

For me, I'm just going to Put money into what I need, if what I do requires more hardware, then I'll go ahead and put the money up. But of some of you appear to be throwing money into this Bottomless Well. And well good luck with that.

I just ordered my m170 but am not going to cancel. Personally the m1710 is to new to buy as no one has any reviews on it. I would wait a couple of months to see if there any issues with it.

People I find, have to have the latest and greatest. Hence why you see all these threads now floating around about whether to get the m170 or the m1710. They have already decided what they wanted in their heads, they are now wanting reassurance of their decision. Doesn't matter if the thing they are going to buy will be obsolete in the next 4 months or so. As long as they pay 3k+ for the latest, it's all good.

BTW - No offense to the OP.

Lol if you read forums at work you know the first thing you have to do is disable avatars and signatures, preferably disable image loading altogether in your browser.

It's funny, but it's kinda gross too

I have to agree about the 64 bit discussion. Right now all of the games are 32 bit. I see no change in gaming production until 64 bit has taken over the computer world. If your a business person that needs dual core to multi task for their work then go for it but just for gaming save your bucks and wait. I will bet my next pay check that before 64 bit games are in high production there will be at least 6 more machines like the new XPS 1710 come out that everyone has to have. Marketing my friends marketing.

I'm keeping my M170 order ( In shipping ) The new Dual core / 7900 video is coming I'm sure at a premium. Most of us that ordered recently got there M170 super cheap. My rule for purchases is to never buy something in its first 3 months of release, you pay too much for bragging rights and sometimes there are bugs. The question is, is there anything the M170 won't do for you for the next couple years ? Just my 2 cents

Im also in a similar position and probably going to order a M170 till they put up the new one and i can see how much they are going to over charge . But just wanted to ask if anyone knew what the current lowest price is for a M170. All i see is the 10% off coupon and thats what it was before however they raised the base price 200 dollars from last week i belive. So is there any additional coupons?

Thanks
