E1505 screen sparkle on all screens? - Page 2

Just got my new E1505 last night. When they say glossy, they sure mean glossy. Looks like volcanic glass when it's off and I can actually watch tv in its reflection clearly. Anyhow, not yet detected any sparkling in my early testing, though I do suffer some light leakage in the bottom left corner. Sure, this'll be unnoticeable with the start button there during normal operation, but I can imagine that being a bit annoying to see watching a movie with a black widescreen border at the bottom. Have to see how it comes out on games and other full-screen apps. Annoying, but since everything else is good, I'm doubting it'd be worth the hassle to have swapped out.

I was chatting with a Dell person, apparently they wont replace my screen because of the bad viewing angle. Apparently the bad screen is the "normal viewing of the LCD on the Inspiron 6400". Then I got a connection time out and it dropped the chat. I'm going to complain again, maybe something will happen, this screen shimmer is annoying as anything as well. Grr.
