How are the T60s' screen?

Thread Starter
I was thinking to buy an ACER TM8202 / 8204. Now I am about to change my mind to buy a T60 with similar config. What can you guys tell me about the screen? IBM doesn't have x-black or brightview crystalbirght etc screens I guess.

Is this worth considering? I cannot go and see an IBM lenovo bcs I don't have the model I want to buy in my country and I am planning to order from abroad.

tip: read every review you can find on the T60 before you buy it. check out what they say for the screen.

Yes, Thinkpads do have the "xbright, crystalview, yada yada" equivelent. In thinkpads, its called "Flexview"

The thing with this is that it is only available in the top most model, the T60p, and only in the 15" series. These are quite pricey but very very nice laptops.

The model you would want is the
T60p 2623-DDU
T2500 2.0ghz
1gb ram
100gb 7200rpm
256mb ATI v5200
ABG
Bluetooth
Verison WWAN
15" uxga flexview

I personally use the 14"sxga screen as it is very nice and i want something more portable.

that is FALSE INFORMATION. first of all, FlexView is brighter than a standard panel and has wider viewing angles, but it is a MATTE display. All of the xbrite, crystalview, etc. panels on the market are GLOSSY so they look completely different than a FlexView on an IBM.

second, the FlexView display IS available on a standard T60 with a 15" SXGA+ display.
