Am I The Official Highest 3dMark05 Holder for 5720??

Finally! I got it all straigtened out. I wonder if I am officially the record holder now?
This is my first run, but probably my best, because my cpu will not clock higher than this (2.53Ghz) and my GPU will melt any higher than 470/1300.

Here are the results:

8245 3dMarks!
5116 CPU marks!

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1956532

Will be very very interesting to see if the 9750 can beat it!

how did you OC your cpu and do your FN+F2 fans have to be on 24/7 to run it like this?
for cpu oc you need a pata harddisk and then you can select the oc in the main bios. if you have sata hdd, no oc for you.

for the fans, you'll need a bios which has this option (a new one, version 1.06 i think)

I only put fans onto full blast when running games and 3dmark etc. but even still I probably wouldn't have to. I still undervolt my cpu when running at 2.53, it is at 1.29v.
It also doesn't get very hot, like mid 40's (c).

Hey K1tty,

thats a nice lookin ride you got there. And I never could top 8k with mine.

Hope your having fun with it!

(edit)

ok, I had to know so I ran it on my new desktop CPU, AMD 64 X2 3800, and only scored
4595 for my CPU. This is supposed to be an OC beast so I think its time to see.

Yeah, that is what we were seeing. Between the 9750's 4800+ and my 2.5Ghz PM 3dmark05 likes the Pm. This changes in 06.
Now, if you could overclock the x2, like you can in your desktop, then you will get somewhere in excess of 6000 on the cpu score.
Like my new cube gets
***EDIT: Sorry I got a higher score and had to update it, and deleted this score/link.
here is the new one:

**EDIT ----- PS: my cube is an sli system based on the evga mATX mobo and a x-qpack case!

If you look it is a X2 3800+ just oc'd to about 2.5Ghz, nothing huge.

Well, have fun with the desktop and good to see you again!

PS: I will have to show you all the cube when it is totally finished.

Congrats K!TTY!

K!tty,

The secret to the higher scores is in the UV and the fact that your specific 7800 can MEM OC to 1300. Mine cannot without artifacting...

My question is this, were you experiencing any artifacting?

If yes, I wouldn't try reaching those scores again to be safe.

Also, I had to throw this in,

I acheived my GPU - 8102/CPU - 4870 WITH NO UNDERVOLTING.

I think I am still the highest in this class, I may try and UV myself and give you a run for your money!

Lol, kidding aside, awesome job and your rig looks beautiful!

hey! how have you been?
For that run, I didn't have the cpu undervolted. I had it on stock (max) volts.
I have everything tunned down for normal usage now, i don't want to melt anything. I have the gpu set to 450/1250 and the cpu is still at the 2.53. But I usually run dynamic switching mode. Max V is 1.29 or something and Min is the lowest it goes (don't remember). Even at full load it doesn't get all that hot.
With these everyday settings I get 8000'ish score, somewhere between 8000-8100.
So it is nice.

But, I must say the cube is a beast!
Now, it just has to get painted and have a couple fans added + fan controller.
