T20: any way to force a battery recalibration?

I just got a T20 in a trade (nice little laptop btw) but the guy I got it from said one of the batteries was new but I can't get either one to last more then 45min. The battery inidicator in windows goes to zero% in like 5min but the system continues to run on.

Is there anyway to get the batteries set up correctly again?

About the only way to recalibrate the batter is update your thinkpad power manager software.
Then completely charge it.
Then completely drain it, let it shut off itself after many min of running on )%

Repeat a couple times, you should get a bit more time.

Is there a power manager application? I installed the driver from the website but did not see a seperate application or control panel applet.

There wont be a control panel applet as its an entire application, not a plugin. If you have the icon of a battery with the % left in the lower lefthand corner, then you have it installed. Its called Battery Maximiser i think.

I would use the auto software installer located at:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...testyle=lenovo

This will scan your system and install any deficit drivers.
