I recently got a legit cd containing MS office 2003 Small Buisness edition with the cd code. This retails for $400. Am I allowed to sell it or is that a no-no.

if you have all the orginal stuff (box/key/actual cd no burnt) then yes, BUT, i believe you will have to add a piece of hardware (dead ram stick, ummm video card cheap hard drive ect ect)

and edit: dont expect to get anything near 400 on here for it tho just fyi

It's hard to tell from the packaging. If it came with your computer, though, it's probably oem software, which means it can't be sold unless it's sold with a computer or a piece of computer hardware (and yes, this applies to resale). The old trick, like soulsaver said, is to put something worthless in with it (I have old 1Mb simm chips, lol, something like that would be a good candidate, or a 100Mb har drive)

yeah, dont have any of that kinda stuff laying around lol. The smallest piece of hardware i have is a battery or something (AA) or a 512mb sd card.

Well, I listed it @130 w/ the cd, pc-cillin internet security, and a 512 sd card for $130 and immediately got asking price (literally 4 minutes). I decided that since I may not be able to use my other copy of office to use on my new computer, I should just keep it and wait. If i can use the other copy, then ill just sell it.
Thanks guys.
