too bad that the link to WereShark eMachines Project is currently unavailable (account pending for renewal or deletion).
He had a 3400+ cpu installed and overclocked it to almost 2400mhz - and ran stable with 0F.07.P00 too.
So I think that using a 3700+ is not an issue, but one must keep an eye on the temp.
The latest m6811 Bios 0F.08.P00 should be fine on m6805 (i can vow for it since I've been using it since day one).

cheers ...

impressive cpu. Turion is known for mobility and extending battery hours due to the low demand on CPU - m6805 is clocked at 81w and the Turion does not even uses more than 35w.

I am not sure about the chipset compatibility - but i know for sure that one ASUS Tek made board using k8t800 pro chipset will NOT work. System does not even boot up.

One of AOPEN board (vK8T800a-LF) advertises support for both amd64 and amd Turion64, left me to believe that Via has developped and "update" in the chipset drivers, at least for aopen.

cheers ...

There have been a few people trying to put a turion in their eMachines.

See link: http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=123101

It seems that it will not work in the machines without extensive bios modding, and even then it still might not work.

So in short, as of right now, that cpu will not work.
