I had a problem with my 9860 in that it would not power up sometimes,
the symptons were as follows. When the 9860 would not power up the front lcd screen whould not be displayed , so I RMA it back last month and they replaced the motherboard, but on recieving it back the laptop did not power up, until about the 6th try and only then when I turned it on then shut the lid and turned the laptop upside down, then it worked! I have to do this now about every 3-4 days to get the thing to power up but it nearly always works first try by doing the upside down thing. Also it will just turn of while im playing a game, also the temp monitor on the cpu doesn't work, I think this it the small temp probe that attaches to the heat sink, does anyone know where i can get a replacement part for this ?
I know i should just RMA it back but now its out of the first year waranty I will have to pay for return and collection and i will be with out my lappy for a month. has any one else had similar problems?
