I need to get a cheap notebook, have just sent back my Dell, appalling screen.

Have seen this Fujitsu at an outlet shop: AMILO M7405

or this at Dabs: Amilo L1310G @ £538.22

General desktop work, web surfing, DVD watching and perhaps some older games, Colin Mcrea Rally, nothing to upto date or taxing.

The difference in speed seems to be negligible. The drive OTOH...40 gb is awfully small, no recommended if you're planning to store video in any capacity or for any purpose.
