Hi guys, got a little problem.

Basically, I have got an OS on an external hard drive. Im trying to get my sentia to boot from it. I have set first boot device as "Removable Dev", but it does not seem to work. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Is it Windows or Linux ?? But first thing I would check is in the BIOS to see where it boots from first . i.e. HDD , CD , DVD, Removable , etc. You might need to change the priority .....

Its OS X on a USB drive, I used the guide from TechRecipies.

I have changed the boot prioity, but to no avail (my boot order is 1. Removable Device, 2.CD/DVD, 3. Hard Drive)

Do bios updates void warranty?

Cheers

Well from my experience, OSX will not boot from USB drive, no matter the Hardware- its just the way the wrote the OSX OS Software, I havent played in thiat community for several months now so sum1 may have gotten it to work, but at the time I installed/ burnt uber self installer disc- this was not possible.

Well, thats what I thought up until TechRecipies put up that method, I was just giving it a go, but my sentia wont let me boot from USB.

Cheers for all the advice so far guys
