perhaps, but keep in mind that even the hard-core "rep whores" also post in other places. And being around for a while or posting a lot doesn't necessarily mean you're helpful or informative. It could just mean you ask lots of questions! (insert MasterQ reference here)

Does gateway have anything planned in the gamming notebook area? They seem to be pretty far behind dell, sager, and alienware.

its not generally their market. they deal with the mainstream, not the gaming niche.

i think it'd be nice if they picked up the Arima W830-DA or the W810-DCX tho... who knows, they might

Man, I just came from a Flute concert at the State Capitol dome here. They had all sizes from Piccolo to Contra Bass (NINE feet long!) and it was magic.
