In order to gauge system performance, I loaded 3dMark05. Stock drivers, no tweaks, and this is what you get:

3DMark2005: 6202

3DMark06 (Stock system, no optimized drivers): 3766

It is the Toshiba P105 Review in the Toshiba Reviews section.
Check the link first before you ask something.

we need a break down of that score, because im sure the HD most have effected it somehow (its a 4200 rpm hd used in the test unit)

The score is not to high though, is this the 256 meg or 512 model?

the 7900gs isn't supposed to be that much faster than a 7800.....
the 7900GTX is much faster than the 7800 and a little (10-15%) faster than the 7800GTX.
(also remember that is without any overclocking)
the 7900gs should use a good bit less power than the 7800, so that's why I'd be pleased with it...

And I hope it generates significant amount less of HEAT than the 7800 go. I really dislike my fan turning all the time, even when I am just surfing the net, or working on a report. Rock on!!

so since the 7900gs is going into the xps does this mean it wont go into the 9400 for a while? i know there is the bios that supports it but when should we be seeing 7900gs in the e1705 if at all?
