I think he means BootVis, Microsofts tool to improve boot/resume times. If you live near a bookstore that carries Maximum PC magazine they have a big article this month all about reducing your boot times.

BootVis?

If my boot times slowed with the new program, I'd delete it and see if that makes a difference. If so, perhaps a second install would work. If not, I'd delete for good.

bootvis is worthless on xp

if you want better boot times disable unused start-up items in msconfig and disable certain services you dont use/need a good guide for service settings can be found at tweakxp

If you want XP to perform and not be a system hog I suggest getting XP Smoker. It reduces boot time and has gaming settings to reduce system bog down.

yeah just go buy the May maximum pc. big section on how to reduce boot times. they cut 31 seconds off doing a bunch of stuff: bootvis, remove splash screen, etc..
