If my boot times slowed with the new program, I'd delete it and see if that makes a difference. If so, perhaps a second install would work. If not, I'd delete for good.

yeah just go buy the May maximum pc. big section on how to reduce boot times. they cut 31 seconds off doing a bunch of stuff: bootvis, remove splash screen, etc..
