edit its called the m1710. but ITS OUT! go on the dell website why dont ya. it has a NEW RED FACE COVER for anyone that cares.

Well Balthazar is under the impression that there won't be any available 7900GTX's for several months as they are all being saved for complete system purchases, at least until the initial sales push dies down.

In the coming weeks we should start hearing from new M1710 owners about the physical layout of the system and whether the card could be physically put in the 9300/Gen2/M170. However my guess is the Core Duo motherboard (see thread about E1705) is going to be different enough to require some serious modding to get the card to physically fit.

Finally there is the question of, if we can get the card to fit, will there be a BIOS that works in the 9300/Gen2/M170 that supports the 7900GTX. And my guess there is no, again due to the differences between the Pentium M and Core Duo motherboards, which the BIOS has to support.
