What is the best and safest way to trade?

Thread Starter
well me and a person is considering a gaming desktop for a laptop. we live like 3 hours away. i don't trust sending my laptop because he might not send his part. he doesn't trust me for that same reason too.

what is the best way to getting a trade done? meet in person or use paypal but neither of us have over $1000.

If it's just 3 hours away try to meet in person. That way you can both inspect the hardware and make a hassle free trade.

Plain and simple drive the 3 hours.

paypal is not the greatest!
If he has no references then DO NOT DO anything unless in person. I would drive 6 hours before I would hand over anything to somone with no trading references.
here is what my trading history looks like

You would feel alot better trading with somone that has a proven track record

The 6 hour (round trip) is the best thing. Bring a friend so it won't be such a lonely trip. I've made a lot of em and you get to meet the person you are trading with. You've got common interests remember?
