clock/mem-speed of 7900GS/GTX?

I`m starting to consider the new XPS1710, but have a few questions first. For me the price of the 7900GS->7900GTX is a bit steep (almost 500$ in Norway where I live). Does anyone know the clock-speeds of the GS-version vs the GTX-version? I just recieved news that the toshiba p105 aint coming to Norway (saw that the 7900GS in that one wore about pair on pair with 7800GTX). However, previous experiences with for instance the 9400 (which dell gave a huge underclock) makes me a bit skeptic with the GS alternative. Does anyone know of reviews with the dell version of the 7900GS or know its clock-speeds so I can compare to the toshiba P105?

The 7900 GTX is clocked at 500/600 pipes 8/24
The 7900 GS is clocked at 375/500 pipes 7/20

Here the base bench mark I did on the 7900 GTX. I haven't done any OC'ing on the card yet..

Okay, thx for the reply. Zyb: do you know if dell will be using referance clockspeeds on the 7900GS aswell? cause the massively underclocked the 7800go (from what I have read, other manufactors have used 7800go-versions that outperforms the 6800ultra, but that is far from the truth when it comes to the i9400-version og 7800go).

Cookie092: nope, was planning on buying one, but got a bit dissapointed with dell "killing" the 7800go gpu so I decided to wait a few more months. Standard clockspeeds should be be around 350-375 on cpu and 1000-1100 on memory (I might be a bit unspesific), and dell clocked it to 250cpu/658 memory. Really stupid of dell to do this, therefore I hope they dont repeat it with the 7900GS which I have in mind. Hopefully it can be put in the i9400

Zyb if you don't mind me asking how the heck did you get your hands on an xps m1710 (it's manufactured, shipped and you received it already?

It truly is a great spec'd machine. How did you get one so soon?
I was considering eventually swapping my 7800gtx for a 7900gtx but the price I just don't think is worth the extra 800-900 3dmarks. And who knows how many of those are due to the processor or ram

Congrats on the nice rig!

Ok So I did some more OC'ing with the clocks set to 600/720.. The temp is running about 72c.

ALMOST 10K AT 72C?!

That's without any AS5 application or anything? I really want one.

I'm surprised at the RAM used though, I was expecting it to run at 1700mhz+ stock, like my 7800gtx 512mb, but I guess it IS a Go card and all.
