video driver support for multiple OSes

Thread Starter
I am considering a 5660 but I have a question. My intended use for the laptop is supporting users running up to four OSes: w98, wNT, w2K and wXP. My plan is to use System Commander to install all 4 operating systems on the laptop and boot to the appropriate OS as needed. I see from the Sager site support page that drivers for w2K and wXP are available but I can't find any information about support for w98 and wNT.

Has anyone installed either w98 or NT on a 5660? Would the 5660 work adequately with only the default Microsoft VGA driver?

Thanks

I would take a gander at ATI's website (for their Mobile 7500). It's an "old" card, but not old enough to be on NT/98's detect list...

This may prove more difficult than it first seems. I'd be amazed if you even got NT to work (regardless of video drivers). Same with 98... not really laptop-friendly OS's out of the box.

Good luck, though!

Suggestions if you plan on installing NT on a laptop:

Pray. Pray some more. Install. Repent.

Cheers.
