Was just going to post, moments too late! Mine's also moved on from pre-production, electronic packing slip also available Estimated delivery is now 29/5/06, can't wait, damn, should probably keep it in it's box until my exams are done. Like that's going to happen.

LOL - no completely understandable tbh. My delivery date hasn't changed yet but it is to be shipped today so I won't take much notice of that....

Congrats chaps. My date hasmoved from 30th May to 29 June. Typical! I spoke to the rep and he informs me that the holdup is indeed caused by the HDs, but that they should be receiving some on Saturday.

Chris, the 29th is a bank holiday , no? Don't mean to be the harbinger of doom.....

alright for some!!

Ah is alright for some getting their status moved on! im still in production. yea it definately is the hard drives and they come in on saturday and then hopefully speeding up stuff at the beginning of next week. ah just means still gota wait longer for my comp. im sure it'll be worth it in the end!!

Cheers Zek. I think the M90 had a longer lead time, so I'm not surprised you guys are getting your M1710s shipped before my machine. Shame you all couldn't get them before the bank holiday!

Thanks JimBob! Got a party to go to on Monday and working all weekend. Probably a good thing that I didn't get it before Bank Holiday

Thing is it is worth the wait for your M90 - I was seriously considering the switch but was worried about how long it would take to re-order etc. That being said methinks you will have a surprise by early next week - I reckon you will get yours a lot sooner then expected.

Just want to say thanks again for putting me in touch with your rep...

Dell Prices

Just priced up my laptop on dell and its interesting how much money their offers save. for example, last week their offer meant that my spec computer came out at 2532.55, but now this week its 2697.29. That has now meant that ive made an amazing saving of 802.3. Think that makes me feel so much happier waiting for it lol. Anyone get theres yet?

Yeah we got a great deal. This week it works out that i saved over 26%, - VAT thats a crazy 43% off! I could not be happier.

Gaah! Just checked my delivery status after finding out the courier and the ETA is 31st, I was expecting it tomorrow. Even if it is only 1 more day, I'm going freaking insane here! I haven't played a decent game in weeks! The computer I'm forced to used at the moment only has an Intel integrated graphics card! The horror!

Haha, I realised the same thing today, the date on Dell's order status website said delivery by 29/06 not 29/05 as I had mis-read previously (cheeky monkeys, giving themselves a month to deliver the thing!). Walsh Western have finally updated their delivery date to 31/05 for me too. Any idea what "Plan Committed/Note" means?

updated progress!

well amazingly checked it today, and in one day it FINALLY left pre-production status, and then went through production status and now in packing status. hope this wont last long. did anyone have this without the delivery date being changed, cos could it really take 2 weeks to pack it and post it?

Delivery date won't change. Just check the link with the courier when it appears on your order page and track it through there. It will take about 2/3 days once with the courier. Mine's been in Holyhead since 01:30 this morning as well - LOL!
