UK Keyboard?

I've noticed that the european site now has optios for British, French and German keypads, by which I presume they mean keyboard. Has anybody seen one of the british ones? If so is the enter key double height and are Ctrl and Fn the correct way round. Cheers in advance as this has been the major reason I haven't ordered yet. The rep on the phone did offer to sell me a system with US keyboard and swap it when available but I'm just not that trusting

Kissarmy, I have no clue.
(Its always good not to accept Promises from strangers)

But I did see KISS in NY (Nov. 28, 2003)
The KISS / Aerosmith show.
Its not Rocket Science who had the better Show.

Cheers for the replies,
It's a long time since I've seen KISS, I got given the nickname when I joined the stagecrew at university in 1984. Dropped out of Uni, became a Lighting Tech and am currently on world tour with Meat Loaf, funnily enough our tour manager was KISS's tour manager.

I"m pretty sure the UK one is exactly the same as the US one. Or I should say, mine is from the UK and has a single height Enter key and the screwed up Fn and Ctrl keys. Are they not all like this?

When I quereid before christmas the UK machines were shipping with US keyboards (if shift+3 gives you a # its US, if you get £ its UK. The check box on the configurator for choosing 'keypad' country only appeared last week. If you bought it before christmas it will be US layout. They did offer to send me a UK when available if I ordered with US. Phone up, plead ignorance and beg for the right one.

I should restate that I have yet to see a UK keyboard so although things like £ and @ being in the correct place have to be don e to be a UK correct keyboard, the reason I first posted was that things like the Ctrl/Fn positions and the size of the enter key don't necessarily have to be a certain way to be a UK keyboard. The most important bits for me are the £, @ and \ positions. Obviously I'd prefer everything to be laid out exactly the same as my Dell 8000 with UK keyboard though I expect thats too much to ask.

Hello, I have just found this forum after having my laptop for 2 months. My laptop was sent with the us keypad fitted and when I mentioned this on the customer feedback form I had an email from them saying that the uk keypads were in and they would send one out to us with a returns form to sent the us keypad back. Very simple to change and the £ and @ are i the right place and the enter key is of the double height type.

Cheers for the excellent news, one last question, is the botton left key Ctrl or Fn?

Its a Fn key, I should also note that the keys are black solid ones not clear like the US one.

Ah well can't have everything with the key placement. the black keyboard sounds like an improvement. Any chance of a picture? When I first heard of the clear keyboard I presumed they must be illuminating it - if it doesn't lite up I can't see the point. At least with a black keyboard you won't see all the dust and crap that gets underneath the key caps. Cheers again for the info. I'm holding out ordering till the end of the tax year. Whatever is the best in the last week of march gets my money. Roll on march!
