Thanks for the recomendation on Tomb Raider, I am going to check it out.

Hoo..finally it shipped. Took almost 2 days of boxing, one day of testing.
Hope I get it before friday.

FPSer is somebody who plays a lot of First Person Shooters, and RPGer is somebody who plays a lot of Role Playing Games.

I hope to order my m1710 soon.

Thanks for the explanation. I really appreciate it. I was cruizing the 3d game websites and I had no idea there were so many cool games out there..
I think I am going to order a couple high end games as well.

Sweet mine finally is on the way. I should have it on 3/3/06 which works out great for me so I don't slack on my studying for my last two finals. (Being old and still in school sucks) Now I have to decide between oblivion and fear. Humm. I have played the demo of fear, pretty creepy when its 2 am and I am sitting alone in a dark room.

Get them both.. Both are fantastic games and will showcase your laptop nicely..

Well, my M1710 came yesterday.

It has surpassed my expectations to be sure. It is a beaut.

The ONLY thing i'm dissapointed in is the poor quality of the built-in speakers.

They sound tinny and not as good as some other laptop speakers i've heard.

But overall, i'm stoked about this laptop!

I ordered my laptop 18 days ago. Yep 18! I am so happy the M170 was damaged and I got upgraded to M1710. I would be soooo pissed to get the M170 knowning that the M1710 was out and I was already behind the curve. So its been a long, long wait for me.

Mines esitmated to come on the 9th of may, which came in the email after i ordered. However dell's site claims i have no account now :bleh: so i can't check status. Ah well as long as it comes before/on 9th of may i won't be arsed.

However if it dosen't come by the 9th...

edit: oh and i ordered it on the 28th of april,

£1811 i think

same specs as most, 2.16ghz, 2gb ram, 100gb 7200rpm, 7900gtx. Also got a bag to store it in. Not bad for a laptop really considering the specs. Last time i specced a high end laptop it came to around £2600
