But they told me I have it, and I have the chat log they emailed me which states I do have it. And I checked my account status and it shows it as an option on all XPS orders. I am just being careful as on the original XPS Dell offered a similar program, and then after your order had shipped they renigged on it when the first bill came in. A lot of people got burned on that. I got it, but had to threaten them with legal action..

Well, that's a nice rig you have there. Should blow everyone away.
Mine is a:
Opteron 146 Dual Core clocked at 2520
2 gig Mushkin DDR400 ram
Dual 7800 GT's SLI

I am thinking of putting my ATI X1900XTX in there instead. I wonder if I would get that much better performance..

Amusing

Top dollar no discounts purchase. Kind of what I expected to hear:

You have a very expensive machine and we are assembling it very carefully. It is not delayed and all is fine. It will be to you on time.

I'm paraphrasing but that's the general idea. So sit back and wait :0

TY. Yea I spent a lot of time on her, but she is heavy and i wanted M1710 to lighten the load. My 2nd 7900GT CO SC is in the mail and should be here on Thrusday. Right now on 1 she does 5336 in 3DM06 with the vf900 @ 580/1660. Temps run from 42c idle to 50c load. I love it!

Great, well we'll just wait and see what tomorrow holds for us. I have a feeling that things will pick up significantly this week.

I waited through 2 generations because I wanted what is in this machine and what it will be able to upgrade with down the line. So really just buyers anxiety. But since we all get to share the "are we there yet" syndrome it's all good!

Ah...Canada doesn't get the detailed breakdown by build stage. We just get to know it is in production or if it is in Delivery Prep stage.

I ordered a black 1710 on the 19th with a CC. It went into production on the 20th with an ETA showing for May 4th.

It would make sense that an authorized CC payment moves a little faster than an internal financing option.

Ah the wait...each day I look at the build, check the web, surf the forums. All because I can't wait for X Day...

All I have to say is "lucky bastid"

4/19 order date, still stuck on Order Processing.

Also paid with DPA.

That NO INTEREST 18 MONTHS should come with a MIGHT DELAY THE ORDER OF YOUR XPS M1710.

Everything else cool does /sigh

Nah jk,

That's cool, make sure you take TONS of pics (from delivery to first boot, and so on), and supply us eagerly awaiting folks with every detail when you get it.

Possible reason mine is later...

I notice I seem to be the only one who ordered the 2.16 cpu?

Thought that the availability might be making mine go longer. Oh well. No change in due date yet, 5/11/06

I was under such a money crunch to get what i got. I wanted at least the T2500 (2.0), but I had to get the T2400 to make it under budget. I will just wait for merom and upgrade later.
