gateway 400sd4

i have a 400sd4 with the cpu temperature between 56c to 64c. it seems that the big fan comes on every two minutes just surfing the net. it has the p4
2000. is this normal? the large fan cools the temp down to 56c in abt 40 seconds. but then it starts climbing again. kind of annoying.

try using notebook hardware control. dumbing down the cpu is going to help with heat build up.
