Very nice. And since it is not being painted, it should be a faster delivery as well.

Keep in mind - I see your avatar area states you are on the road a lot. Pick up a DC to AC converter (or whatever they are called) for powering up that puppy when you are on the road. The battery is not the best (I know from experience). I was in a habit of using the system to play through my MP3 collections when I was on long trips (+4 hours or so).

Congrats and looking forward to seeing your review!

well, im basiclly never unpluged, so i have that handled. i have a couple of ac converters, and the coach has all the power i need(this thing is like Metallica's tour bus). plus my office trailer i take everywhere with me.

but i do have a question.
is there a walk though of taking this thing (EX7) apart. my reason for this would be to keep it clean. my last (gaming) laptop was a hp zd7000 custom, which died on my only five days ago for the second time in a year. the designers didnt cool it correctly. it would collect massive amounts of dust. i got lazy and the out come was a dead video card that is hardwired to the mother board. would love to put my foot in the designers ass. anyways, this is one of the thousands of questions im sure ill be asking. and yes i will search the forums. just wanted to be sure im not missing something.

thnx for the replys

You will love the machine. As stated above, since it is non-painted, I would expect you to get your system within a few days.

There are some posts from owners of 9860s and the sort where they were blowing out the system.

What I do is I remove the panels on the back side and blow out everything that I can. I don't get more in depth than that as I don't want to screw up anything. On my EX7, I had actually taken the keyboard out - and that was definitely a task in itself. But this was related more to possible cooling solutions as opposed to cleaning.

That said - I don't think there is a set manual. Just remove what you can and be careful. But you are right - you will want to do this on a regular basis.

Glad your travel arrangements will keep your AC pumping. That was my only thing. I am not a battery type of guy - but when I was in the car, I had no choice - thus the purchase of the converters. That said, most of my gaming was at the hotel rooms and the sort.

Good luck!
