Newcomer here, be gentle. Odd problem with a Portege m205-S810. Constant beeping on startup indicated keyboard problem according to Toshiba tech support. Found a used replacement on eBay and it booted right up once installed. Tested the keys and found problems with several adjacent to each other. Exchanged the keyboard with the seller for a different one and the problem is the same. The "A" key also activates the Caps Lock and the Caps Lock does the "A" (either key does both) The "X" or the "~" do the same thing. Hitting either displays both characters. The " key shows the " symbol but displays it one line down because it also activates the Enter key. And when you use the "M" key the cursor moves to the left of the M. I called a local repair shop that is listed as an authorized Toshiba shop and they didn't have a clue either. The machine is out of warranty so Toshiba's only suggestion now is turn it over to the repair shop.
