Considering an upgrade, MCE and video game consoles?

Thread Starter
I'm thinking selling off my current XPS 2 (w/ the 6800 ultra) and picking up one of the new M1710's with the 7900 and the core duo this summer. Now I'm wondering, can you hook up consoles to the dell TV tuner that's optional with MCE and get decent performance? I'd like to hook up my ps2 and (eventually) ps3 to my laptop...although if necessary I can just use my external CRT.

Yes.. The external TV Tuner has a Video IN port where you can hook up a Cam corder, Game console, etc.

Someone else mentioned using a 3rd party program when using the TV tuner to play consoles on the laptop/desktop and claimed it removed the 1.5 sec overhead that MCE has which unsync's the video/audio when playing consoles thru a TV Tuner. Sorry I can't remember it.
