Screen Seems to have Shifted Down in Inspiron 6000

Hey everyone,
This is probably a bizarre problem. For some reason, there is a large (5 mm) gap between the top of my screen and the top of the display frame on my 15.4" UXGA Inpsiron 6000 screen. I am fairly certain this isn't due to a resolution snafu.

Should I just open up the display encasing and see if anything has gotten loose on the inside?

Thanks,
Kirupa

Its a tad difficult to do it on your own. Based on the top half display with the gap do you lose equal amount of display on the bottom as well?

No, there does not seem to be a 1-to-1 shift in the bottom half of the screen

Upgrade your videocard drivers as I concur on the resolution issue. Somehow a custom res might have gone into effect without you realizing it.
