Yeah hi, topic!

Whenever i play wc3, the game stretches over the tnire screen, pulling everything apart, and i was wodering if there's maybe a mod, to set the game to some 16:9, or what we have. 1920x1200 would rule. Ive treid googling. Thx

If you have a good technical background, you could try this

You can also leave it in a 4:3 resolution and have it keep that aspect ratio by going into your driver options->Nview settings->Device settings->Device adjustments->fixed aspect ratio scaling. Also can try centered output which is kind of like running Windowed (no scaling).

Options also available in the BIOS though the driver options are the best option...

I dont think WC3 supports 1900x1200 at all! You can manipulate settings/drivers/bios all you want but the game may not allow it!

Ya, warcraft III doesn't support it, but i can at least play 1:1 with black stripes on the sides. Better than having chars run faster horizonatlly than vertically :P.

Aspect ratio scaling is the best way to do it...it's quite good getting a 'standard' 1600x1200 fallback with a 1920x1200 display.

Yeah, one last question on the subject: With the black stripes, is the screen on or off at those black spaces? If it were on, then wouldn't it burn the image to the screen (the blackness :P)

I play 1920x1200 for Frozen throne Its clearly noticible from 1600x1200 but because th egame does not natively support WS res it will show as 640x480 after applying the tweak suggested by Widescreenforums.
