Which should I get?

The Toshiba P105-S921 or the Dell M170 ?

If you would, please explain why.

can you please give me a link about the toshiba... i know nothing about it but if it has core duo and anything over a 6800 go then i would go with that one.. i am saying that because in college most people multitsak so i think you would benefit with the core duo

Get the Dell M1710, it's got a better vid card than the Toshiba. Unless you're really budget conscious then the Toshiba would probably work better for you. But overall I think the Dell is going to be a better laptop, especially for gaming.

I had to make the same decision and bought the p105. The 3d marks seem good to me as you can see in my review of it. The big plus with the Toshiba is customer support is better, and the case design isn't nearly as futuristic/tacky.


The finerprint ID reader is cool too. It's also lighter, thinner, and runs cooler. But the Dell is probably like 1000 3dmarks faster. Oh it's also dual core.

If you just want to game the Dell is better. If you want it to be very good (but not best) at gaming and portable, then the Toshiba.
