Sudden wireless troubles

A couple days ago I came home to my 5680 and saw that my wireless connection had disconnected. I tried restarting my sager, which usually works whenever my connection drops, but this didn't help. My home network was still listed under "available networks" but the blue circle things weren't around the antenna icon. I reset my wireless router, but I still couldn't connect. Even when I brought my laptop into the same room as the router, nothing changed? Does anyone have any solutions or advice? I'm starting to get desperate because I've been trying everything I could think of these past four days and I have no idea what to try now, because nothing seems to work.

Try powering down the router - wait about 10/15 seconds - and then reapply power. Then reboot the laptop and see what happens. If that does nothing, reseat the network card if it is not the internal variety. Other than that - can't say.

Didn't seem to change anything. Thanks anyway.

Have you tried disabling WZC?

Are you using Windows to manage your Wireless Networks? Or the Prism software? For myself I just have Windows manage my network but ALSO have the Prism software running.. When I click on the network thing I can see my home network shown and listed to be connected to automatically with my saved WEP settings. My problems have always been taking my laptop to school. They do not use any encryption there ,and so before connecting I have to manually double click the wireless network button, check the box to connect to an unsecure network, and click apply... then it usually connects. If none of this helps do a search for the other driver and utility someone was suggesting. I recently have been using that driver because it offers somewhat better range. The utility is also nifty, but I find no difference between it and the Prism one. Good luck to you and let us know how it goes!
