Who wants to teach me how to play the game of "Dell Outlet"?

I need to learn how to "grab" a system as soon as it becomes availiable. Too many times have I seen that amazingly cheap laptop only to have it stolen away from me every single time. If you can help me get the system i want, please leave a message here or pm me.

I'm looking for a good deal on the E1505. ( < 700 )

Heres my advice:
Figure out which system you want, have your coupon ready if you have one, make sure to sort the prices from lowest to highest. Hit refresh many many many times..something will eventually come up. Early morning or late at night can be good times to pic up a good deal. things are quite competitive on the outlet. the second you see a system that you think is what you want add it to you cart. don't let your cart go idle for more than 15 minutes or you will lose your choices. don't be afraid to cancel an order if a better deal comes up. I did that today and got a better system for 200$ less than what I was originally paying for the other one. Hope this helps.

Here it is...

F5

When you see a deal that you even might be interested; or if there's two or three computers that look interesting; add them to your cart immediately. Just do the default options to get them in there fast. Then look through them and decide if it's something you want. If it is, then you can tweak the options and order.

I saw one for 600 plus change (for a refurbished 1505) in there the other day, but like usual i wasn't able to get it in my cart quick enough. (but the 600 was before tax) I've got dial-up so thats another bad thing for me. And when i hit F5 i get some kind of message that pops up and says something or another and i have to click OK for it to load the page properly.

i scored an M140 (dvd burner, 9 cell battery) for $569 last night before tax and shipping. total was $622. i found the key was F5, and to not put a price criteria on it. when i selected a price range of $500 - $1000, nothing showed up.

Look at the deal I posted in the Coupon thread. Brand New E1505 starting at around 500$ after DPA discount and 2 coupon codes (I provided both in there).

ok here's a few things about the outlet. there are tons and tons of people out there that are going to be 10 times faster than u are. they have scripts. people like myself do everything manually. I use firefox and go into the laptop i want to get and sort by price. i'm not sure if this is a firefox only thing or not, but what u want to do is check the first box that is there. then u hit f5 and enter over and over again, u will see the checked box still stays checked even when new systems pop in. so then u will want to keep ur mouse pointer right on top of the add to cart button, once u see a super super cheap laptop, u just add it to cart. but u have to be really fast bc there are tons of other people doing the exact same thing. a lot of the time this seems to work only bc the deals the script guys get are ultra cheap and we never get to see the systems anyways bc they are so fast at it. and if you are looking for multiple systems that are dirt cheap then check up to 5 of the first boxes. i've had great luck doing this and I almost purchased a e1505 last night too but decided against it. It was only $645 shipped with 1.66ghz dual core. 1gb ram, 80gb hard drive and a 128mb video card (also included the current 33% off coupon they got going now).

Only thing I would say really is, be patient. It will take a lot of time to get that system. I've sat there for hour after hour but always manage to come away with an amazing deal.

OH YEAH and make sure you really refresh 40 minutes past the hour. that's when they drop all the cheap systems....

That's how I play the Outlet also... but the price you paid is a few bucks more than the EPP deal I just mentioned in the Coupon Thread for an E1505 with dedicated graphics. *shrugs*
