The 7800, and 7900 series uses a Memory Interface that is 256-bit. The 512mb is how much ram is on the card itself.

Order is Confirmed and Accepted.

Now lets not start drawing huge attention to this until we know these cards are the real deal. I'd hate for these to be mismarked desktop cards because of idiots in the Spare Parts division.
Yep but they need to chose the CG054 price cause there is a lil difference lol

What country are you guys in? When I call they don't have any CG054 part #.

US

I kept getting the same thing until I got a guy who knew what he was doing.

They basically hid the 265$ part number under the 1000$ YF227 part number. It's there. You just need someone that is willing to put you on hold and hook you up. =)

I wonder if these cards are so cheap because they're pulls from returned M1710s. I returned a 1705 with a x1400 and the rep said it would be scrapped for parts.

They could be refurbed but it will have a sticker indicating so. Even if they are I could care less as long as it works. 300 is better than 400-600 anyday.

On the phone now, they are telling me they are out of stock....well....he is checking another warehouse....he also said CG054 is for the 7900 GS (I know, he is wrong, these guys really sound like they have no clue.) I feel like I know more then he does, and he works for Dell.

Yep I had no luck either. I was told the part is out of stock and the lady would call me back tomorrow after she got authorization to order it.

If everyone keeps trying then they'll cancel our orders and put a permanent "Out of Stock" on the damn part. Oh well. I know I won't let them cancel mine. I'll call my reps if I need to pull some weight.

The last time they did that to me I threw a fit and they quickly took care of me. Since my laptop is on the way if they want me to keep it they will send me the vid card or it is going back and I keep my 9300.

My order got cancelled

"Order Cancelled

Our records indicate that this order number has been canceled. If you did not request the cancellation, your order may have been re-placed under another order number."

Time to throw a fit

I have some more information afer talking to someone for about an hour.

CG054 has been updated to 1,000 dollars as well. It does not show any in stock. YF227 is still listed at 1000 dollars and it is in stock. So the trick is to get them to honor the price of CG054 on the inventory of YF227.

I am going to fight them on this and already told the support person my story. I have a 1705 on the way and if this is not honored it is going back unopened. If she cannot help then I will talk to her manager and if they cannot help I will escalate to the US.

They are in stock and they have plenty of them so those of you who got an order through DO NOT back down. They will give in.

For those of you who did not get an order through prolly gonna have to wait until the prices are updated.

Did any of you care to read the warnings? I said let us see if they would even ship. Instead you all hog the phones. You're all idiots. Dell has put a lock on the system for that part number. That part number can only be sent out as a warranty replacement part now. If you want the 512meg 7900GTX, it will cost 1000$.

FYI, after 4 hours of calls today I found out that there was 674 phone calls to order part number CG054 yesterday. That means even if each person tried 3 times, there was still 225 of you that roughly ruined this whole thing.

Don't expect another part number. CG054 is Warranty Parts only now. YF227 is Dell Spare Parts.
