Undervolting Core Duo

Has anyone else tried this yet? I downloaded the latest NHC and went to undervolt my Duo and WTF, it's already on the lowest setting which is .950v? Why is it we can't undervolt the Duo? Am I missing something? It seems like there is a very small range for the voltage control also, from .95-1.265 when the P-M went from .700-1.450 if I remember right. Anyone know if this is just because the Duo is still new and eventually NHC will offer a full range of voltage options? I really wanted to try to squeeze some more battery life and try to get this thing a little cooler.

It is the hardware so you can't undervolt it less than 0.950. You can only undervolt the max multiplier. I know it sucks
If you want to increase battery life, then try underclocking the video card.

Undervolting the max multiplier is also usefull for lowering the temps. @ full load I managed to bring down the temp from 60 to 45 by lowering the Vcore to 1.000V. Prime95 Stable. I used RMClock.

Ahh, well I was thinking of when I'm running on the battery and am on Max Battery profile it stays at the lowest multiplier, so being able to undervolt the lowest multiplier would have helped me out a bit. That's a shame taht you can't go any lower. I will underclock the highest multiplier to keep gaming temps down, but I would be happier with both. Damn Intel.

How do i know what my max multiplier is? T2500 here.

Your clockspeed is 2000 Ghz. The max multiplier is calculatet by dividing it with 166 Mhz.
That means max FID is 12.

Aha. Many thanks.

Try RMClock. I use it on my T5750 and run top speed, 2.0GHz, 12X at 0.950 volts the same voltage as I run 1.0 GHz and 6X. I was amazed. No loss of performance and a huge decrease in CPU heat production from 85C to 67C !!
I HAD to undervolt to save my CPU from Fujitsu's cheap and inadequate cooling fan. I bought a "desktop replacement" wth all the add-on toys and a bad "heart". Maybe it will last awhile now.

Cheers
