Thanks mZimm.

Yeah, I can't upsize it any at all. It would ruin the image and you would notice major defects in it. They stretch just find and look like 1920x1200 images on the laptops. Hell, even on my 24" widescreen dell - it looks flawless.

Thanks for all the compliments.

I am working on something else to go along with these and hopefully it will work out. It's just going to take some time.

BTW - Does anyone have a or "the" dell FONT?

p.s. repped.

Which color did you want with the grey dell logo? I have to manually put that color back in there. I can't leave it out when I add color.

bah you are all lazy if you think this can't be faithfully recreated in a proper 1920x1200 size. I'll give it a shot.

By all means. Easier said than done

In upsizing the image to 1920x1200 - you will increase file size and black area. That's pretty much it.

Instead of upsizing, you may rather trying placing the shiny 'XPS' text and DELL logo as new layers on top of a black (gradient) background layer of size 1920 x 1200.

not just upsizing, redoing it from scratch

Just thought the glow around the XPS text looks cool...

Its time consuming to get it right. Thats about it. If you do all the magic this and that, it gets rid of part of the image and makes it look cockeyed.

I am working on the GLOW images right now

sorry if i was unclear. i meant to say leave the "dell" logo gray (as in the first image set) but colorize the background (as in the second image set).

the only reason i ask is because for the red one the "dell" looks pink.

Very Nice work thanks!!

Nice looking, but all of our laptops are widescreen :\

I think you could center the XPS and Dell logos in the center of a 1920x1200 wallapaper...its possible.

Not without ALOT of work and not with the stock image as it is. Notice the "light" on the upper right hand corner? It would be messed up and it would never match no matter how hard I work on it.

However, I have a solution and new items will be coming up shortly!

I'm just about done with the XPS logo part for a widescreen remake of this... now to add the finishing touches, the glowy background and the Dell logo.

Thank you sir ryan!

ANY REQUSTS? Any Color Combos? Any Glow Color?

Now that I have successfully "ripped" the image, I can do pretty much anything!

Alrighty, done with my rendition of the XPS logo. It's not exactly the same but it's darn close and if I may say so looks damn good in all its widescreen glory. In addition to the simple silver look I've also added various colored logos with a glow effect. Enjoy!
