Hi,
I'm hoping to get some information about a possible LCD swap.
The problem:
My Latitude C840 has several vertical lines of blue (dead?) pixels depending on the angle of the screen. I can sometimes make them disappear and appear by angling the screen farther back and then back up again. The C840 has the following LCD according to my invoice: 15" UXGA 1600x1200 LCD, Dell p/n 3M904, IBM, V2.
The question:
I also have a Latitude C800 that also has a 15" UXGA screen. The invoice says: MALAYSIA DIRECT SHIP, C800, ULTRA EXTENDED GRAPHICS ARRAY, IBM, WORLD WIDE, dell p/n 9E985. My question is can I swap the LCD from the C800 into the C840? And if yes, can I just swap the entire panel assembly or do I have to actually remove the LCD from the C800, but keep the inverter and flex cable from the C840? I'm a bit confused on what is compatible with what...
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

. Just plug in the C800 cable to the 840's video card to see if it works.
