Adding Complete Care? - Page 2

Ok I added the 4 yr premium solution package to my notebook today. Went without a hitch from what I can tell so far. They didn't give me a hard time at all. I was even told I could have added this at any time during my initial warranty period. No 21 day limit. Was hoping I could get the current online price of $150 for it but no dice. $265 and then a $75 rebate for a total of $194. I guess this isn't too bad to be covered for everything until 2010.

that's not true. you can only add complete care within 21 days of invoice; however, you can get extended warranty at any time during your warranty period.

it's a bit odd. the first two years are the most expensive and each additional year is cheaper, but you have to get 3 or 4 yrs in order to get the 3rd and 4th year at the reduced rate. complete care is a fixed price corresponding to the warranty. give em a call and see what they have to offer

exactly. Dropped laptop=higher insurance premiums=negating any price advantage over dell's completecare

Well, called Dell today and I can upgrade to complete care at the tune of 169 dollars for 3 years. Thats bull, you all have been able to upgrade for 120, and I will too dammit. Mind you I have the three year onsite warranty already. My rep does not answer her phone. I've left her 2 emails and a voicemessage today, we'll see if she returns my call.

My 21 days expires on friday, so I need some action now, or there will be a very nice Dell D820 in Dells Outlet shortly and a new one with complete care on its way to my house

Well no returned call from my rep, and after a bit of research it seems ive blundered. The inspirons can upgrade for 120, not the latitudes. Anyway, got complete care so im happy
