EDIT #2: Good news though, the prices of 8890 have fallen! Yey! (I know this ain't news, but it's good news regardless

Where can you do a 8790 config?
You can't -- the link directs you to the forum 8790 thread. I suspect that it is close to available so they added the graphics and will update the link when it goes live.

The price of the 4080 went up! Was $1532 for the 4080-S a couple of hours ago. Now it's $1566. I waited too long I guess.

What's the story with that little robot-dog?
Great looking new website!!
Note: Just like the dog on the old site, the new dog does different things on each page if you hold your cursor over it (put not click).
the 5680 went down in price
Will prices go down even more when the 8790 comes out??
If you ask me (Yeah, yeah, you didn't), I think the top dealy takes up too much space. But it's still a great improvement over the old look.

OK...the price of the 4080 didn't go up. It's just a typo on the main page that lists the (3) models (2.6=C, 2.8=S, 3.0=V). If you click the customize button it shows the correct CPU for each model. 2.8=4080-c, 3.0=4080-s, 3.2=4080-V. Whew........
actually the price went down on the 4080, once you get past the processor typo and actually price the same system it runs about 40 bucks cheaper or something like that.

Not sure if I like the metal look but its certainly well done and a big improvement on the old site. A lot more functionality and more graphically oriented.

Cheers!!

It's actually not even half of it. The rest (Ratha phase 1= skin, Ratha phase 2= features and database) including a completely new database/backend headed up by mainly Ratha's custom php and javascript is being finished up on right now. It will add many more features and options through the site . It will be complete and added probably in the next couple weeks and we'll be focusing on the forums also to customize it more. Now you can see what we've all been working so hard on. I figure some will like it, some will prefer the simple previous site, but we need some of the features so we're on it... besides Ratha needs to show off what she can do and you can see we're not holding her back =).

Very impressive update!

Wow, I like it, especially after I tried accessing pctorque.com earlier and the site was down. I was a little freaked out.

The more professional the site looks, the less doubt potential customers will have buying from pctorque.com!

At the same time one should take caution from ordering from a site that looks pretty but has nothing else to back that up with (independent reviews/ratings...etc) Not pctorque of course but there are a few out there that have 'pretty' sites but are questionable places...imho
