E1505 and 667MHz DDR2

Does anyone know if the Inspiron E1505/6400 can run 667MHz memory at 667MHz? I know it's only sold with 533MHz memory, but the chipset in it should support 667MHz memory.

Has anyone tried 667MHz memory and seen it work or not work at 667MHz?

The E1505 supports 667Mhz RAM.

I have 2 Gigs in my laptop.

And you're sure it's running at 667MHz, not 533Mhz?

yes it can run 533 or 667.

pick either it wont matter.

The E1505 chipset supports both speeds, so you can run either. Go look on intels page and look up the 945 mobile chipset if you don't believe me. It WILL run 667Mhz memory at speed with no problem.

I bought it directly from Dell with 2GB of 667Mhz RAM here in Germany.
The BIOS reports it correctly. Greets.

Figures that in Germany they'd actually sell it with 667MHz memory, but not in the US. Thanks for another confirmation!
