Is this a good price for an m1710? - Page 2

By the way, has anyone had any luck ordering the Special Edition Red one from Dell Small Business? I wanted the Metallic Black anyway, but I inquired about the red, and my Small Business rep said that for some reason, only the black one is available through the Small Business division. When I checked the site, only the black one was on the Small Business site too.

However, today it looks like the red one is there too.

I think they only offer the black one. I'm figuring small business, laptops for businesses, so red is kinda too flashy LOL.

Maybe i was just lucky

I just ordered, through small business, two laptops for a total of $4200.00
Now thats a good deal. When i priced it on dell's website it was 3755.00 each.
Now just need to wait.....

And yes, i'm talking about the M1710 with 2GB ram, T2500, 512Mb 7900 GTX etc, etc.

some more info

I originally priced the laptop on dell's website and it was 3755.00 (for one)
On a whim i emailed my dell business account manager and she sent back a quote. 4200.00 for two of them. tripped me out how much of a price difference. Heck, i was almost ready to just pay the 3755. heh.
I think since its end of quarter they are hungry for sales. All i know is i'm one happy guy.
I bought a 5680 sager about 3 years ago and i'm really excited to get a new laptop. I priced a similar sager laptop and they are still around 3500.
i'm stoked.
