This is somewhat related to the other threads in this forum but I just wanted to know from other 5720 owners what kind of drivers Windows is reporting for their PCMCIA controller after installing the latest driver installer from Sager's website dated 03-Mar-06.
Mine are as follows:
- PCMCIA adapters
Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Cardbus Controller
Driver Provider: Microsoft
Driver Date: 7/1/2001
Driver Version: 5.1.2600.0
- PCMCIA and Flash memory devices
Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia Controller
Driver Provider: Texas Instruments Inc
Driver Date: 11/30/2005
Driver Version: 2.0.0.4
- IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers
Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller
Driver Provider: Microsoft
Driver Date: 7/1/2001
Driver Version: 5.1.2535.0
I know there are newer versions of Microsoft's pcmcia.sys driver available but this is what SP2 throws on my system. There are multiple knowledge base articles at MS website on newer versions but the instructions for installing them are simply to install SP2 so I don't understand why I have this older version from 2001 and if this is normal for the TI PCMCIA controller.
