THe samsung screen does have grey lines, ignore the people that say it doesn't. They havnt seen them and havn't run the test.

btw- there isnt that much wrong with the 8204..remember these posts are ONLY for problems..not "yay i got it working great" ...there would probably be a equal or greater amount of people saying that, then saying it has problems.
btw- just wait for the Turion X2 to come out, that will be hardcore laptop time.

I remember when the first batch of Mercedes A came out, some people said that there is no problem 'cause they haven't been able to turn trutle...

Do not want to break the illusions, but as I have written in the other post, a lot of people just do not recoginze the troubles, because they do not understand the computer stuff too much, some of them are simply way too less demandive and other do not care as they got it as a company computer. Thousands of them do not know about htis forum and others do not borhte to share their troubles here. There appearently are full wrong batches beening produced and ACER knows about that. They just never will admit, until the pressure from customers side will be adequately strong. Just imagine - they are dictating and keep you guys occupied with solving problems and finding out if you have them or not or what...that is absolutely not acceptable for a computer of this price and level.

Sayings like: that always happen with newcoming products and blah blah are unacceptable, because if paying full amount of money, full functionality should be guaranteed. Appearently Acer is returning untits from their repair warehouses saying they are OK even though buzzing is still present and the LCDs suck completely, nit even mentioning the reliability of such stuff... I am not trying to say any negative words, I think it is sad. ACER lost A LOT of customers with this wrong step. Me in the club

Could you tell me how do one do the screen test? I would like to do this test on mine. Also what is LTN and QDI screen? Thanks!
