Yep, that looks like the one I have. It works perfectly. I think it was $6 + the shipping costs from China to the Bahamas.

I remember that long thread trying to buy HD caddies, Did anyone ever figure out where to get them in the US? Or anywhere for that matter (other than the very few lucky ones that got them from China).

Looks good, where did you buy it from?

I think he brought them from china. About a month ago he posted that he'll be going there and asked if people would buy these caddies, if he happened to bring some back.

Yea, but at the price he is asking it's a bit too much than I'd want to spend for just a caddy right now.

Hi.
Do You have these caddies with sata interface ?
Maybe You have some PATA -> SATA changer,
so I can put my sata hdd to pata interface in my Inspiron 9300 ?
Thank You.

Why dont people just get external enclosures? Its not like you need two high performance HD's, I'd never sacrafice my dvd burner for a measly 100-160gb (I download and burn alot of shit though....yes, porn.)

Kelong, the caddy only accepts PATA hard drive. Even if I can get the converter, the hard drive will no longer fit properly if the converter is installed. Sorry, dude. But I stil have a few caddies left if you are interested.

I've just purchased one of these bad boys:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...EAFB%3AIT&rd=1

Basically a USB2 cable that has interfaces for 2.5 and 3.5" ide and SATA devices. With the number of spare hard drives I've got lying around....this is ideal!
