How does this work? is there interest on the monthly payments?

Yes. Its a credit card. You need to be over 18 and currently employeed.

They usually give you something like six months same as cash, but if you still have a balance after that I think they charge interest retro back to day one. I'm not sure what the interest rate is though. Alienware currently uses a third party lender, so they're somewhat limited to their programs, but it sounds like one of the major things AW is looking for out of the Dell purchase is to be able to use their financing resources.

If you're thinking about buying an Alienware and you're worried about financing, you may want to wait a little, but I have no idea how soon the financing situation will change. The FTC hasn't yet approved the purchase.

there interest rate is 21% and there is none till in my case 9 months.

the high side is if you pay it off in the 9 months than you pay nothing extra.and like hammer said if you don't pay it off on the free time well they tack on interest from day 1 also you have to make a payment 45 days after placeing order

on another note from what i see if you use there card and something happens to you machine (broke when you get it) within the 30 days you can return it without paying the 15% re-stocking fee

I have used AW financing for all of my purchases for the no interest period. I make sure to have it payed off before the period ends as the interest hurts.

Now you know why ALX systems come with Crisco.

So you pay $1999 for a comp and then you pay monthly fees? Or is it where you just get the comp and pay off the total amount over time.

They usually run financing specials where you get a certain amount of time to pay off the system with no interest. Beware, if you don't pay off the system before the alloted time, you are usually charged all of the interest for the interest-free period. You would have to read the terms, but that is usually how all of those type of deals work. Not just on computers.

In my opinion, financing a computer that you can't pay for completely before the interest-free period is over is kind of foolish. This is, of course, if it is just for playing around on and not for something critical like business or school work. Save your money and pay cash for it.

It's 12 months currently. You have a year to pay off the notebook before the interest is applied. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

At least apply some money down if you are able so you can have smaler payments each month.

Do they send out monthly bills? Or even the card itself? Because it's been 3 weeks since my laptop shipped (bought it purely on the titanium account), and I've never received anything from Alienware in the mail.

Did I miss something, or am I supposed to send them straight checks?

Yes they send out monthly bills. And you do get your own Alienware CC.

At least they used to. The Titanium account is new and they go through a new bank. Call them and ask.

The card is not an embossed credit card, it looks like a thick business card in fact, black with the silver Alien Head and your account number. And yes you will get a monthly statement. Dont mistake it for junk mail.
