Problems with my second Lappie(IBM)

Hi All,
This is my first post in a while and truth be told I am hoping someone here can help me out with a problem. Is there anyway to bypass the power/on suoervisor password on a T43p? Any advice or suggestions will be much appreciated.
Before anyone says wrong forum I have posted in the IBM section but as we all know this is the place to be if you want quick and concise answers.

Call IBM. they can generate a master password i'm willing to bet.

I tried that.They said that it would require replacing the motherboard!!I was hoping I could swap the security chip and solder on a new one.Any ideas

Maybe IBM didn't pass all that info to Lenovo.....
