Remove RealTek driver - will headphone sound increase

Because having low headset volume sucks

If you remove the driver you'll have no sound. It's not a matter of the drivers rather the chipset used. (Depends on what laptop we are talking about)

I suggest you use the "powerful" equaliser setting in the Realtek control panel.

For DVD, going with WinDVD will give a higher volume output than the default PowerDVD.

And using Quintessential Player will give you a louder audio output through headphones for music and such.
